Information we collect

We process account details such as name, email address, optional phone number and birth date; pet profile details; posts, comments, stories, events and messages you choose to create; reports and safety actions; device and technical information required to secure and operate the service.

How we use information

We use this information to provide accounts and pet profiles, deliver social and messaging features, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate reports, maintain service security, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations. Pet In Touch does not sell personal information.

Media, camera and photos

Camera and photo access is requested only when you choose to capture or upload pet media. Selected media is uploaded to Pet In Touch so it can be displayed in the feature you selected.

Sharing and processors

Information may be processed by hosting, storage, email and security providers acting on our instructions. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Retention and account deletion

Account information is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, direct identifiers and pet profile identifiers are irreversibly anonymized, login credentials and sessions are revoked, and retained community content is attributed to a deleted account. Limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Your choices

You may update your account information, report content, block another user, or request account anonymization from Account Settings. If you cannot access the app, use our account deletion page.
